Obituary

Life's journey for Bobby Wayne Hickman began on November 30th, 1944. He was the fourth born of five children, to the family of Thomas P. and Oral Crisel Hickman. The family home was located in Blackton, Arkansas at the time of his birth. Wayne received formal education in the nearby community of Clarendon, graduating with the class of 1962.

Proud to do his part in service to his country, Wayne served in the United States Army from August 1966 - 1968. After receiving basic training in the medical field, Wayne put his skills to use as a Surgical Orderly while stationed overseas in Germany. He received an honorable discharge in Fort Dix, New Jersey and continued his patriotism in the reserves until 1972.

Following military service, he worked at Fischer Lime & Cement in North Little Rock. Wayne and Nannie J. Wilson were married on December 24, 1964, and became the owners and operators of Razorback Feed Store in Rose City, Arkansas. They enjoyed many years of meeting customers and visiting with friends and locals each day. They were blessed to share life's journey together before her death on December 7, 2019, just 17 days shy of their 55th anniversary celebration.

Raised in the Christian faith, during times of worship, Wayne attended the Grace Baptist Church. In leisure times, he enjoyed raising a garden, watching Razorback Sports and the Dallas Cowboys.

On March 30th, 2021 at the age of 76, Wayne passed away at his home in North Little Rock.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas and Oral Hickman, wife, Nannie Henderson Hickman, brothers, Steve Hickman, Terry Hickman; sisters, Earlene Jones, Shiron Cox and one grandchild.

Survivors; Brother, Chris Hickman of Louisiana; Step Sons, James Wilson and Pauline of Holly Grove, Jerry Wilson and Ella Mae of North Little Rock; Step Daughters, Betty Martin and John of Brinkley, Sue Kannada and Bill of St. Charles; 7 Grandchildren and 17 Great Grandchildren.
