Virginia McCombs White began life's journey on June 18, 1953. The family of Earl and Martha Lewis, made their home in the rural community of Rich, Arkansas at the time of her birth. Virginia was blessed to share in the memories of childhood along with six siblings and received education at Partee Elementary in Brinkley. After completing the sixth grade, Virginia like most at the time was needed at home to help care for the home and other sibling.

In 1972, at the young age of 19, she married James Walter McCombs. They would remain together for 29 years before James's passing on July 25, 2001. Virginia was blessed to find love again  and became the bride of Bobby Joe White on August 25, 2007. For more than fourteen years they have shared in the many joys and memories, of watching their blended families grow. Virginia  worked outside the home at Wagner Electric up until its closing. She then accepted a position at the factory in Des Arc where she remained until stepping away from public work. After retiring from the public Virginia began working in the field of private care.

Virginia was raised in the Christian faith and during childhood attended the Lutheran Church in Monroe. For the last thirty years she has enjoyed fellowship and times of worship at the Broadmoor Baptist Church in Brinkley.

Virginia  passed away at her home on Monday at the age of 67. She is survived by her husband Bobby White of Brinkley, sons, Ronnie Lewis, Emmett Lewis (Penny), Walter McCombs (Carmen), James McCombs (Ladonna), Mason White, step-daughter Carla Hood, stepsons, Daniel Paul White, (Ashley), Bobby Gene White, brothers, Leonard Lewis, Roy Lewis, Allen Lewis, and sister, and Loice Sorrells, grandchildren Taryn Lewis, Mattaleine McCombs, Austin Lewis, Gage McCombs, William McCombs, Charity White and five great grandchildren.

Virginia is preceded in death by parents, husband James McCombs, brothers, Robert, Roy, and Alvin Lewis and sister Joyce Deweese.

Visitation will be on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. - 12:00 P.M. at the Broadmoor Baptist Church in Brinkley, Services will begin at 2:00 P.M. also at the Broadmoor Baptist with burial at Upper Cemetery.
