Obituary

Vera Lee Cole, 67 of Little Rock, Arkansas, passed away on April 8, 2025. She was born on November 16, 1957, in Helena, Arkansas to the late Eddie and Verdia Mae Tatum who preceded her in death.

Vera is survived by her devoted husband of over 41 years, Willie H. Cole; her dear children, Trigaila E. Cole (Nixon) and Tara Cole-Bowman (Troy); her sisters, Valeria Tate and Levolia Adams; as well as her cherished grandchildren, Preston Cole Porchia and Tatum Preslee Wilkerson.

A graduate of Marvell High School in 1976, Vera continued her education at Phillips County Community College for two years. She dedicated the last ten and a half years of her career as a Deputy in the Pulaski County Sheriff's Department. Vera was an active and dedicated member of the National Fraternal Order of Police and One United Responsible (OUR) Association, actively contributing to her community. Beyond her professional life, Vera had a passion for traveling, shopping, and spending quality time with her family. She also enjoyed the occasional trip to the casino for some fun and excitement.

Vera was a member of the Greater Second Baptist Church in Little Rock and understood the significance of her faith in Jesus Christ. Her unwavering belief guided her throughout her lifetime and served as a source of strength and comfort. Those who knew Vera recognized her unique personal traits that made her truly special. Her kindness and compassion for others left a lasting impression on all who knew her. Although
