Obituary

Travis Avain Quinn, a lifelong resident of Brinkley, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on July 26, 2026, at the age of 86.

Born on December 17, 1939, in the family home, Travis was one of twelve children born to James and Mary Quinn. From an early age, he learned the value of hard work, setting aside his formal education to help support his family's growing business.

Travis began his working life in the logging industry, where he developed a reputation for his strength, determination, and tireless work ethic. As the family business grew to include tree cutting and removal services, he continued to play an integral role. Later, he owned and operated his own lawn care business, serving the Brinkley community with pride. A true jack of all trades, Travis was also well known for his exceptional trapping skills and for selling furs. When he wasn't working, he found happiness in the outdoors, enjoying hunting, fishing, and camping.

A man of unwavering faith, Travis was an ordained minister and a faithful member of Full Gospel Church in Brinkley for more than 50 years. His love for the Lord Jesus Christ was evident in the way he lived his life. He never missed an opportunity to share his faith, offer encouragement, or speak of God's goodness to those around him.

Those who knew Travis will remember him as a man of integrity, humility, and perseverance. His steadfast faith, strong work ethic, and generous spirit touched countless lives throughout the years. He leaves behind a legacy of hard work, devotion to God, and love for his family and community that will continue to inspire all who knew him.

Travis was preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Quinn; his devoted wife of 52 years, Claire Sue Quinn, who passed away in September 2024; his son, Tony Mashburn; and nine siblings: Earl Quinn, Alvie Quinn, Tenny Quinn, Charley Quinn, William Quinn, W.A. Quinn, Bert Quinn, Gary Quinn, and Juanita Randell.

He is survived by his son, Travis Quinn (Laura) of Milton, Florida; his daughters, Phyllis Holloway (Don) of Judsonia, Felecia Lewis (Lloyd) of Palestine, and Anna Parchman (Glen) of Brinkley; his brother, Billy Joe Quinn of Hazen; and his sister, Mary Ann Daughtry of Stillwater, Oklahoma.

He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Amanda Bennett, Tammy Quinn, Sam Quinn, Anthony Mashburn, Debra Mashburn, Steven Mashburn, J.R. Lewis, and Ashley McCorkle; as well as his beloved great-grandchildren: Brandi Bennett, Ricky Bennett, Ashton Romero, Sidney Romero, Jessica Evans, Dustin Evans, Angelina Howard, James Howard, and Ryleigh Quinn.

Though his earthly journey has ended, Travis's faith assures those who loved him that he is now at peace in the presence of his Savior. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, church family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever be treasured, and his legacy of faith, hard work, and love will live on in the hearts of those he leaves behind.
