Tony Gene
Anderson
January 7, 1955 — March 13, 2022
Moro
Tony Gene Anderson of Moro passed away on March 13, 2022 at 67 years of age. He was born on January 7, 1955 to the family of Charlie and Lilly (Henson) Anderson. The family made their home in Marvell at the time of his birth. Tony received formal education in the Cross County school district.
Like most young men growing up in the southern Delta, Tony had a love of the outdoors. Camping was a favorite pass time along with the sport of fishing. He also like hunting, any type of hunting... but he enjoyed squirrel season the most.
Tony was blessed in life to become a husband, father and grandfather. He and Diane married in Cherry Valley and lived in different areas before settling in Moro. Other places included Wynne and Wheatley, were they raised their family. Tony's love of family exceeded all and spending time with them was what he liked to do the most. He was blessed through the years to see his family grow with the addition of spouses, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
He worked outside the home with Gary Skinner Farms and after more than twenty years of dedication chose to step away from public work to enjoy quality time with family and friends.
Tony is preceded by his parents; Charlie and Lilly Anderson, siblings, Delford, Donnie, and Roy Anderson, Montine Williams, Charlene White, and Velma Alls.
He is survived by his wife Diane Pierce Anderson, son, Nick Anderson (Erica) of Clarendon, daughters, Becky Vanderburg (Jonathan) of Brinkley, Sherry Astin (Bobby) of Forrest City, grandchildren, Colten Kaplon (Carl), Ashley Gaskin (Kyle), Joshua Vandeburg (Skylar), Nickol Mason, Clifton Mason "Bubba", Conner Mason, great grandchildren, Josie Gaskin, and Oaklee Gaskin, siblings, Edward Anderson (Carolyn), Charles Anderson (Sue), Jeff Anderson (Linda), Eunice Reynolds, Carolyn Stidham, Patsy Mays (Bill), Barbara Willis (John), Christine Dedman, and Estelle Fuller .
