Thomas L. Clay of Brinkley passed away on March 22, 2022 at the age of 62, He was born in Brinkley to the family of Billy and Billie Pat Clay on December 22, 1959.  He became simply known as Tommy by all who knew and loved him. He received education through the public schools becoming a 1978 graduate of BHS. Soon after studies came to an end, Tommy married his high school sweetheart, Carla Strickland on July 15, 1978. Tommy and Carla chose to remain residents of Brinkley and were blessed with the birth of two children.

Like most young men raised in the delta, Tommy had a love of the outdoors. He enjoyed the sport of deer hunting or spending time on the lake with family and friends.

Tommy was preceded in death by his mother, Billie Pat (Thompson) Clay, and grandparents, Rev. C.L. and Cordie Clay, and John and Nellie Lynch. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Carla Strickland Clay, son, Joshua Clay ( Ashley) of Conway, daughter, Andrea Andrews (Lauren) of Ward, father, Billy Clay of Brinkley, sister, Debra Rae Kenney (Chuck) of Wynne, three grandchildren, Kennedi Paige Dixon, Nathaniel Thomas Dixon, Hunter Isaiah Clay, two great grandchildren, Kayten Isaiah Holden, Keyona Ariyah Holden.
