Obituary

Thomas Gerald Alexander, passed away on Wednesday, February 24th, at the age of 94. Born on November 7, 1926, he was the second born, to the family of Henry and Dolly Mae Alexander. The family home was located in Corning, Arkansas, at the time of his birth, where Gerald received education through the local schools.

In 1944, at the age of 18, Gerald began a two year tour of duty with the United States Army. During this time he was stationed overseas in both the Philippines and Japan. In 1946 after receiving his honorable discharge, Gerald returned to the states and civilian life.

On April 18, 1949 he married Jacqueline Green. Mr. and Mrs. Alexander made their home in Brinkley. The home was blessed with the birth of two children.

In a working career, his first job would be in the construction and millwork industries. Gerald would later secure work as a Concrete Contractor. He would remain with this field until he stepped back from public work. After retirement he enjoyed buying and selling gold, silver and diamonds, as well as buying and selling antiques of various types. Gerald also had a love of the outdoors and whenever possible, he enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is proceeded in death by parents; Henry and Dolly Alexander, wife, Jaqueline Alexander; brothers, Troy and Donnie Alexander; sisters, Betty Leach and Audry Alexander.

Gerald is survived by daughters; Jeri Sue Holmes and Walter and Judy Alexander, all of Beebe; son/grandson, Royce Duncan (Carol), of Benton; five grandchildren, Brooke Harlin, Ava Holmes, Tree Garner, Arwen Kettering, Rachael Dupre (Alex); six great grandchildren, Royce Duncan III (Trey), Wanda Adams, Erin Harlin, Cade Harlin, Lily Garner, Jonah Garner; four great great grandchildren, Duncan Adams, Michaela Kinder, Ruby Kettering, and Audrey Romano.
