Steven Edward Griffin, age 61, of Dallas, Texas passed away January 11, 2024, at the Medical City Hospital.  Steven was born to Warren Edward Griffin and Margaret Helen (Hayley) Griffin of Johnson Chapel community December 9, 1962.

After receiving his Master's Degree, he worked as an Environmental Specialist for the State of Texas for twenty plus years.

Steve enjoyed coming back home to the Des Arc community and visiting with family. Traveling through the Johnson Chapel area, he watched as the little church building was in need of repair and then a large tree fell through the roof.  He was blessed to help with the finances of making some of the repairs, bringing the little building back to its original glory.

As a youngster, he loved collecting trains. As he grew, that love went to antique automobiles.  He had a 1976 Cadillac Deville and a 1953 Desota.  He loved to travel and recently was training to get his pilot's license so he and his dad could fly together.  Steve had a four-legged companion named Ox. Ox was as large as an ox but was a much-loved dog.

Steve was preceded by his parents and two sisters, Elizabeth (Griffin) Hankins, Patty (Griffin) Ford and nephew Evan Malone.   He leaves behind a very special niece, Hayley Ford of Benton and her children, Ethan Malone and Elizabeth Malone, many friends, and relatives.
