God saw that our loved one was tired and a cure was not to be, so He whispered in her ear "Child, come home to me".

Shirley Jean Hayes, of Clarendon, AR, went to be with her heavenly father at the age of 77 on June 27, 2025 at Baptist Hospital in Stuttgart, AR. She was born September 30, 1947 in Holly Grove to the late Nelson and Etta Lee Clemons.

Shirley graduated from Brinkley High School in 1966, Later, she married the love of her life, David Hayes. She was the loving mother to two sons, Gary Lee Potter and J.D. Hayes. She retired as a dietitian. She was a member of Clarendon Church of Christ.

Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, George and Etta Lee Clemons; son, Gary Lee Potter; brother, Sherman Clemons; sisters, Patsy Clemons, Glenda Reiff and Audrey Davis.
She is survived by her loving husband of 50 years. David Hayes; son J.D. (Angela) Hayes of DeWitt; grandson, Peyton Danner of DeWitt; great-
granddaughters, Isabelle and Saylor; brother, Marshal (Mary) Clemons; sisters, Georgia Woods of Clarendon and Phyllis Johnson of
Palestine; three special sisters-in-love, Beverly Hillhouse of Clarendon, Peggy Ross of Clarendon and Donna Ellis of Conway, a host of relatives
and friends to cherish her memory.

A family hosted Celebration of Life will be planned for James and Shirley Hayes at a later date.
