Shirley Ruth "Cookie" McCoy was born September 16, 1948 in Casa, AR a daughter to Clifford Ray Cantrell and Rose Harris Cantrell. Shirley passed away on Friday, March 12, 2021 in Little Rock Baptist Hospital at the age of 72.

"Cookie" as she was known by everyone was of the Christian faith and was a CNA for the Perry County Nursing Home for over 26 years.  She was an avid reader, and loved her some Elvis Presley and her Papillion dog "Mia." Most of all she enjoyed being with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. They were they light of her life.

Cookie is preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her son: Paul Schmelter and wife Debbie of Perryville: Eight Grandchildren: Brittany Schmelter of Perryville, Paul Matthew Schmelter of Perryville, Haydon Schmelter of Conway, Brooklyn Schmelter of Perryville, Cody Peacock and wife Crystal of Paron, and Matthew Peacock and wife Tabatha of Perry, Rhett Fuller of Kentucky, Tyler Landsbaugh of Perryville, nine great grandchildren: Special aunts and uncles: Ruby Rankin and Ronnie Maxwell of Perryville and Selus and Margaret Harris of Sheridan along with many cousins and other friends.

Visitation will be from 6:00P.M.til 8:00P.M. Wednesday,  March 17, 2021 at the funeral home.  Graveside Services will 2:00P.M.  Thursday, March 18, 2021 at Hope Cemetery in Perryville with Bro. Gene Tanner officiating.
