Shirley Bryan (Chastain) passed away peacefully on October 25, 2021 in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 84. Shirley is survived by her husband, Thomas Bryan; children, Brad (Ann) and Dawn (Eric); Grandchildren, Kate, Alex, Emma, Abby; and Great-Grandchildren Grace and Kennedy. She is preceded in death by her son, James Earl Bryan.

Shirley was born on July 15, 1937 in Holly Grove, Arkansas to Earl and Gracie Chastain. She married Thomas, her high school sweetheart, in 1954. As teenagers, they began a life on their own farming and soon welcomed their first son, James Earl. They eventually moved to Memphis, TN and had their second child, Brad. Tom's job moved them to Kansas for a short time and then they ended up in St. Louis. She worked with Tom at their business for years until the unexpected arrival of their daughter, Dawn.

Shirley was a generous individual who loved cooking and crafting. She would do anything for anybody and was always there with a meal or baked goods when she felt someone needed it. She was an active and dedicated member of Geyer Road Baptist Church. She taught Bible Study Fellowship and volunteered at the Missouri Baptist Children's Home and Crisis Pregnancy Center.

Visitation is scheduled for 10:00am with Memorial Service following at 11:00a.m., Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Geyer Road Baptist Church in Kirkwood, MO., with luncheon following in the fellowship hall. Pastor Ed Plants will officiate the ceremony. Burial will be 12 noon, Saturday, November 6 at McCurley Cemetery, near Holly Grove, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Frank's Cemetery, C/O Judith Stokes, 263 Phillips, Marvell, AR 72366.
