Sammy (Michael) Howard II, of Brinkley, AR, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 31, while hunting on January 15, 2026. Born on August 29, 1994, Michael was a loyal son, cherished husband, and a friend in his community.

A proud native of Brinkley, Michael was educated at the local schools and developed a passion for the farming profession. Following his school years, he dedicated his time and energy to the land. But farming was only one facet of his diverse interests. Michael was also an auto repair mechanic and welder. His hobbies were as varied as his skills, from hunting in the great outdoors to gaming in the comfort of his home. Michael's love for food was also well known, and he could often be found enjoying a good meal with those he cared about.

On May 14, 2022, he married the love of his life, Laini, in a beautiful ceremony in DeValls Bluff, AR. Their union was one of deep love providing Michael with some of the happiest moments of his life.

Michael was easy to be around, his open heart and easy-going nature drawing people to him. He had a way of making those around him feel comfortable. His passing leaves a void that will be hard to fill.  Michael is survived by his loving wife, Laini Howard.

His memory will live on in the hearts and minds of those who had the privilege of knowing him.  At this time, no memorial service has been planned. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to express their condolences are encouraged to make a donation in Michael's memory to the Garth Funeral Home of Des Arc.

Michael's journey on this earth was shorter than we would have wished, but his impact was profound. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
