Obituary

Ronny Grady Snead, of Hazen, Arkansas, passed away on June 29, 2026, at the age of 71. Ronny was born in Brinkley, Arkansas to Doris Snead and Ella Lee Snead (Wagner) on December 3, 1954. After his parents passed, he was raised by his Aunt Ruth Rowland and Uncle Ed Rowland.

Ronny was a graduate of Des Arc Highschool and upon graduation, went to join the United States Marine Corps and served from 1973-1975 as an honorable rifleman. Where he also received the National Defense Medal, Rifle Expert Badge, and Good Conduct Medal.

Ronny began his career at Harry Saul Minnow Farms where he worked hard for 50 years as their right-hand man. He thought of the Sauls as family, and he loved Mr. Harry Saul like a father.

Ronny had two children, whom he loved dearly, Jennifer Richards and Joshua Snead.

On August 4, 1985, he married Rebecca Snead (Greenwood) and they began their life together in DeValls Bluff, Arkansas where they were the great loves of each other’s lives for 41 years.

Ronny loved the outdoors and was an avid outdoorsman. He loved to hunt and fish, and all the in-between. Ronny was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and dear friend to many of his good ole buddies. He was truly the definition of a hard working “man’s man”. He will be missed dearly by many, and his memory will live on for generations.
