Robert Dean
Dyer
November 9, 1953 — January 2, 2024
Clarendon
Robert Dean Dyer was born in Clarendon, Arkansas to Robert and Mary Jean Dyer on November 9, 1953. He was the first of four children and received formal education through the local schools graduating in 1972. Proud to do his part in service to his country, soon after studies came to an end, he enlisted and served a tour of duty with the United States Navy.
He remained a lifetime resident of Clarendon and was well known in the community as "Bobby". In some of his early years he worked in the lumber yard and enjoyed the simple life of fishing and living in one of the cabins located on the Old River. He shared these memories with Ruth Fox whom he had known pretty much all his life. In time, Bobby and Ruth made the choice of a lifetime commitment to each other and married in March of 1988.
Bobby most recently worked alongside his brother Everett, at Dyer Core Supply as a diesel worker. He still liked spending time on the water fishing, and enjoyed the sport of duck hunting. Bobby cherished the memories made with his lab and companion Angel, who duck hunted with him for 13 years.
Bobby was also a man of faith. Knowing the importance of a relationship with his Saviour, Jesus Christ he attended times of worship at the First Baptist Church in Clarendon. On January 2, 2024, Bobby unexpectedly passed away at the age of 70. He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Mary (Dean) Dyer, and his hunting companion Angel.
He is survived by, his wife Ruth Fox Dyer of Clarendon, brother, Everett Dyer (Mary Beth) of Clarendon, Sisters, Sandra Addison (Greg) of Hazen, Georgia Ramsey (Danny) of Stuttgart and his fur baby Brownie.
