Ricky Joe Wilhoite, 44, of Brinkley passed away May 13, 2022 after a short battle with cancer. Ricky was born February 27, 1978 in Memphis, Tennessee to Brenda Mae Wilhoite and the late Ricky Joe Marrs. Growing up Ricky enjoyed hunting, fishing, metal detecting, scary movies, visiting flea markets and yard sales with his mother, watching wrestling, and cruising in his '81 GMC. As the eldest grandson, Ricky enjoyed pranking his younger cousins (who were more like siblings to him) and teaching them to hunt, fish, and drive. For 14 years Ricky was a cook at Pizza Hut working with numerous members of his family. Shortly after graduating from Brinkley High School, Ricky celebrated becoming a father to one daughter.
Ricky is preceded in death by his father Ricky Joe Marrs; his maternal grandparents Howard and Lizzie Wilhoite; his paternal grandparents Joe-Curtis Marrs & Gertude Butler; a cherished aunt, Ann Eastman and his stepfather, David Duboise.
Ricky is survived by his mother Brenda Duboise; his favorite baby sister Megan Duboise; his beloved daughter Jasmine Wilhoite; bonus grandparents Ron & Gloria Crews, four aunts, Virginia Wilhoite, Bettie Marrs, Wanda Fiveash, and Goldie West; 9 uncles Paul Wilhoite Beech, Everett Eastman, Tommy Wilhoite, Joe Wilhoite, Calvin Wilhoite, Homer Wilhoite, Stevie Marrs, Andrew Fiveash, and Kevin West; 18 cousins JoAnn Imler, Daniel Marrs, Logan Catlett, Marian Elkins, Donna Feliz, Patricia Eastman, Mark Wilhoite, Tammy Mitchell, Amanda Norwood, Jenny Tucker, Beth White, Bud Wilhoite, Danny Wilhoite, Stevie Marrs JR, Megan Wood, Karissa Wiggins, and Ares West.
Visitation is Monday, May 16 at Bob Neal & Sons. Services will be held Tuesday, May 17 at Broadmoor Baptist Church at 10 am with Scott Schindler.
