Richard Lewis Mealler Jr., affectionately known as "Ricky", passed away peacefully on August 12, 2026, in North Little Rock, Arkansas at the youthful age of 60. Born on April 25, 1966, in Brinkley, Arkansas, Ricky was the first born and beloved son of Richard Lewis and Virginia Faye Mealler Sr.
Ricky was educated at Clarendon Public Schools. His childhood hobbies of playing with electric trains and hot wheel cars extended into adulthood, a testament to his youthful spirit. Ricky was a man who never let go of these joys, preserving all his toys as cherished mementos.
He was a beacon of love and warmth, and his love of family and friends was a trait that defined him, a trait he held close to his heart until his final days. His memory will live on as a reminder to all of us to cherish the moments that bring joy and to hold our loved ones close. While we mourn the loss of Ricky, let us also celebrate his life and the light he brought into ours. In Ricky's memory, we ask that you hold your loved ones a little closer, laugh a little louder, and remember to cherish the simple joys in life, just as Ricky did.
Rest in peace, Ricky. You have left an indelible mark on our hearts and we are grateful for the time we were given with you. You will be deeply missed, but your memory will forever be a part of us.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Lewis and Virginia Faye Mealler Sr., and his sister, Rebecca Ann Russell.
Ricky is survived by his brother, Tommy Mealler and his wife, Lisa, of Clarendon, Arkansas, who were a constant source of comfort, love, and strength throughout his life. He is also survived by his beloved Aunt Karen Long, who lovingly stepped in to care for Ricky following the passing of his mother. His cousins, Matthew Young and Rhonda Bradford, held a special place in Ricky’s heart and brought great happiness and cherished memories into his life.
