Obituary

Raydean Starr Garrett, known affectionately as Ray, was born on December 12, 1956 to Sarah Comanche-Starr and Raymond Starr. He was later adopted by Harvey and Verda Garrett in Mescalero, NM.

Ray was a devoted member of the Assembly of God in Clarendon, where he found great comfort and community. Ray's hobbies included watching football, riding around town, and indulging in his love for westerns. Above all, he cherished spending time with his children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories that they will hold dear.

Raydean Starr Garrett passed away on September 27, 2025, at the age of 68 at his home in Clarendon, AR.

Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey and Verda Garrett, and his birth mother, Sarah Comanche-Starr

Ray is survived by his sons, Coy Garrett of Clarendon and Cody Garrett of Mt. Pleasant, TX; daughters, Wendy Garrett, Starla Reinhardt, and Jessica (Marcus) Cupp of Clarendon; nine grandchildren, Aiden Cupp, Bentley Cupp, Garrett Reinhardt, Sara Reinhardt, Alexsis Amoros, Marissa Araiza, Noel Araiza, Zackery Garrett, and Zamara Joseph; great-grandchild, Amayis Joseph; brother, Rondol Garrett; and sisters, Sue Garrett Tripp, Gwen Baze and Carol Carrillo Sr (Carson); and his former spouse, Janet Garrett.

Ray will be remembered by all who knew him and his legacy will continue to live on through the many lives he touched.
