On December 6 2024 Ralph Sidney Cotner died at the age of 104 in Heber Springs, Arkansas where he leaves behind his wife of 54 years, Effie Cotner.
Ralph came into this world on April 15,1920 in Humphrey Arkansas. He lived a long life full of adventure, compassion and love.
A family oriented man, he taught his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren all he could and tried to instill his love for hunting, fishing, and all things outdoors. He was awarded a purple heart in France during World War 2 and continue to fight for and help people by volunteering in the Pine Snag Volunteer Fire Department after retiring from the Army Depot where he worked his way up from a humble mechanic to inspector.
Awaiting him in heaven are his children: Jane Houston, Sue Rockholt, and Ralph Cotner Jr.; Sons in law, Bobby Houston and Albert Rockholt; Brother, Jug Smith; Sisters, Evie Stovall and Addie Berryman and parents, Murl and Bessie Cotner.
Ralph is survived by his beloved wife, Effie Cotner, six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, 14 great-great grand-children and many more nieces, nephews, and cousins.
