Peggy Williams Maness Knight of Brinkley passed away on Thursday, June 24, 2021 at the age of 89. She was born in Cotton Plant on January 17, 1932, to the family of Fred and Georgia (Bell) Williams. Peggy received education at Brinkley Schools and chose to continue her studies at  Arkansas College of Nursing. Upon completion of her Nursing degree, Peggy secured a position with the Monroe County Health Department. Until her retirement Peggy touched the lives of many in the community and played a vital role in their health care.

She was blessed in life to become a wife, homemaker, and mother of two sons, Mike and Mark. The addition of spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren have added to her many blessings through out the years.

Peggy attended times of worship at the Brinkley First Baptist Church and a 50 year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Fred and Georgia Williams; husbands, Thurman Maness and Bill Knight; and brother, Louis Williams.

Survivors: Sons, Mike Maness and wife Wilma, of Forney, Texas, Mark Maness and wife Janet, of Brinkley, Arkansas, grandchildren, Sean Maness and wife Kayla, of Birmingham, Alabama, Samantha Paris of Toone, Tennessee; great grandchildren, James Carter Conway of Toone, Tennessee, and Sawyer Finn Maness of Birmingham, Alabama.

Visitation will be Monday from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley. Services will be on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at Brinkley First Baptist Church. Burial at Oaklawn.
