Paul Smith, age 90, of Gallatin, Tennessee and formerly of Marvell, Arkansas passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022 in Nashville, Tennessee.  Paul was born August 28, 1931 in Marvell to the late Arlington and Pearl Smith.  He attended school in Marvell before beginning work with Buford Cupp Farms, where he remained employed until retirement.  He attended church at Cypert Church of Christ.

After retiring, Paul and his wife, Pauline, moved to Gallatin to stay with their son, Tim.  Paul returned for a short time to Marvell after Pauline's death before eventually returning to stay with Tim.

In his spare time, he enjoyed deer and rabbit hunting and fishing.

Paul is survived by his son, Tim Hawkins (Philip) of Gallatin, Tennessee; grandchildren, T.J. Hawkins (Kayla), Travis Hawkins (Brooklyn), Brandon Moore (Marcie), Derek Moore (Donna) and Paula Humphrey; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlington and Pearl Smith; his wife, Pauline Howell Smith; a daughter, Tonya Moore; one grandchild, Lacshell Scaife; two brothers, Junior Smith and Red Smith; and two sisters, Pearlie Crider and Louise O'Neal.

Visitation with the family will be from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at the funeral home.  A funeral service for Paul Smith will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 13, 2022 at the funeral home.  Burial will be at Eventide Cemetery in Marvell.  Brother Mark Spencer will officiate.

Honorary pallbearers are Allen Cupp and Robert Stanton.
