Patricia Bryant
Weatherford
January 29, 1951 — September 25, 2024
When Patricia Bryant decided to make her appearance in the world, on January 29, 1951, there was no time to make it to the hospital. She was delivered in the office of the late Dr. Ben Pupsta in Clarendon, where the family of Robert and Christine Bryant made their home. Pat attended the local public schools before relocating to Louisiana. When high school studies came to an end Pat enrolled in beauty school and obtained her Cosmetology License. This, however, was short lived when Pat decided she didn't really like to do hair.
During her school years in Clarendon, she met Michael Weatherford. Even though they traveled different paths for a time, their life's journey would bring them together again. They exchanged vows on March 6, 1970, and lived on the same 3 acres outside of Clarendon, their entire married life. Pat wanted 9 boys and then a daughter, however, when DeShon was born, they knew their hearts were full. When her two grandsons, Greyson and Stone were born they very quickly became the joy of her life.
For 8 years, Pat worked outside the home at Williams Drug Store. She enjoyed helping the teenage girls find the right shades of cosmetics and the guys shop for the perfect gifts for their moms or girlfriends. In 1978 she accepted a position at the Clarendon School. With a love for her job and working with the kids, Pat remained a valued and dedicated employee for 27 years.
Pat was also a lady of faith. As an active member of the Clarendon First Baptist Church, she always enjoyed the fellowship with her church family, singing in the choir and playing in the Hand Bell Choir.
After the passing of Mike in 2010, Pat remained steadfast in caring for the family home before moving to spend the last two years in Moscow, TN to be near her family. On September 25, 2024, Pat passed away in Collierville, TN. She was 73 years of age. Known as Mama, Grammy, Miss Pat, Pat and Patti, she will be greatly missed by her family, friends and those whose lives she touched through the years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert L. Bryant and Christine Hebert, her husband of 39 years, Mike Weatherford, bonus grandson, Tyler Calhoun and her English bulldog Sassy.
She is survived by her daughter, DeShon Calhoun (Andy) of Moscow, TN., Grandsons, Greyson "Grey" Ewan (Kaitlyn) of Mt. Pleasant, MS., Stone Ewan (Rebecca) of Arlington, TN., and great grandsons, Graham Pollich and Porter Ewan of Mt. Pleasant, MS.
