Patricia Ann
Moudy
September 5, 1938 — December 22, 2021
Brinkley
Patricia Ann Moudy was born September 5, 1938 to Gerald Oliver and Ethel Lillian Foshee in their home in Poinsett County, Arkansas. Patricia grew up in the small Weona farming community and attended the Weona schools through the eighth grade. She was then transported with fellow students to Harrisburg for high school, where she became simply known as Pat.
She married her high school sweetheart following graduation in 1956. Their only child Robert Gerald Jones, was born in 1957. When he entered school in 1963, Pat accepted a job with Arkansas Power and Light Co. In 1965 the family moved to Brinkley where Mr. Jones accepted employment. Pat resumed her job in 1966 with AP&L when an opening became available in the Brinkley office. She would remain until the office closed in 1995. Pat spent the next fifteen years as a part time teller in local banks. The couple's marriage ended in 1970 and Pat maintained the family home as a single parent. In the spring of 1971, she was introduced to Kenneth W. Moudy. During their marriage they built two homes in Brinkley. The first in 1976, their second in 1986 on Brownwood Lane where they remained.
Pat was born into and raised in the Methodist Church. She made her personal public belief in her Savior in her youth being baptized at the Weona Methodist Church. She set her example by raising her son to worship and take part in youth activities after transferring their membership to the Brinkley church.
Pat and Ken loved to go to Branson, Nashville and Mountain View for the music shows, but her passion was her family. She loved them all dearly. Her favorite time was Christmas when all the family gathered together for a time of visiting, gift exchange and eating. In 1986 a sweet young friend got Pat hooked on counted cross-stitch. She spent many hours getting a piece perfect for framing to be given to someone special to her. Most of her stitching was done riding on weekends to visit both sets of parents. After retirement Bob and Tammy gave her an iPad. She enjoyed many hours painting and working puzzles. It also came in handy for shopping with delivery to her front door.
On December 22, 2021 at the age of 83. Pat passed away. May you find comfort in knowing that she is in the presence of her loving Saviour Jesus Christ, The True Gift of Christmas.
Pat was preceded in her journey by her husband of 45 years, Kenneth on March 10, 2019. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Bob and Tammy Jones, their families of her two granddaughters, two grandsons, twelve great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
