Patricia Ann Davis passed away in her home on April 4, 2025, at the age of 89. She was a deeply loved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend.
Patricia was born on October 14, 1935, to Magnus and Hazel McKay. She grew up in a loving home with her older sister, Jo Caroline (Crager) and younger brother, Jim. She attended Clarendon schools and then went on to earn her Bachelor of Science in Education from Arkansas Teacher's College. While there, she became a member of Delta Zeta sorority, where she made many life long friendships. Using her degree, she taught for over 30 years in Crossett, Roe, Clarendon and Stuttgart schools.
On August 24, 1958, she married the love of her life, Donald A. Davis. They shared 49 years together, raising a family rooted in love and strong Christian values.
In addition to her family and teaching career, Patricia was a devoted member of Roe Methodist Church. She also had a variety of hobbies and passions that brought her joy. She loved antiquing, gardening, traveling, playing Bridge, shopping, and spending time with family and friends.
Her family was the center of world, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion that will be cherished for generations. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband Donald A. Davis, her parents James Magnus McKay and Hazel Trainer McKay, her sister Jo Caroline Crager, and brother James Magnus McKay Jr.
Patricia's greatest pride and joy were her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She is survived by her children Teresa Kay (Tony) Gardner, Dee (Terri) Davis; grandchildren Meghan Gardner (Taylor) Fowler, Alexandria Davis (Cameron) Vail; great grandchildren Davis Elizabeth, Magnus Taylor, Lane Henry, and Davis Whitman.
Patricia will be deeply missed, but never forgotten, as her memory continues to live on through her loved ones in the years to come.
