Norman Alvis Rash, 61, of Holly Grove, Arkansas, passed away on July 6, 2026. Born on October 26, 1964, in Searcy, Arkansas, Norman was the son of the late Alvis Edington Rash and Ora Irene Collison.
Norman grew up in Bald Knob and attended Bald Knob High School, where he graduated in 1983. He went on to dedicate his career to public service and retired as a jailer with the Monroe County Sheriff's Department. He was also a volunteer firefighter for the Velvet Ridge, Bald Knob, Clarendon, and Holly Grove communities. His work reflected his commitment to his community and his steadfast sense of duty.
On October 23, 2008, Norman married Laura Myatt in Searcy, Arkansas. Together they built a life filled with love and family. Norman was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather who cherished time spent with his loved ones.
Norman had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing and hunting throughout his life. These hobbies were not only a source of relaxation but also a way for him to connect with nature and share meaningful moments with those close to him. A man of faith, Norman followed the Baptist faith but found spiritual fulfillment being out in God's nature.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 18 years, Laura Myatt; his sons Johnathan (Rachel) Rash of Clarendon, Arkansas, and Marcus Truitt of Jonesboro, Arkansas; his daughters Lauren (Cesar) Hernandez of Little Rock, Arkansas, Elizabeth Russell of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Linzi (Skyler) Taylor of Pangburn, Arkansas, and Katlyn Rash of Bald Knob, Arkansas; as well as eleven grandchildren who brought immense joy to his life. Norman also loved his fur babies Tater, Smoke, Jade, and Teal. Norman was preceded in death by his parents and is survived by his sister Lisa Rash George of Mount Vernon, Arkansas.
Norman’s legacy lives on through the memories shared by those who knew him best. His dedication to family and community will be remembered fondly by all whose lives he touched.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, July 25th at 11:00 am at Donald Branch Park, located at 240 Factory Road, Clarendon, Arkansas 72029.
