Norma Mae Smith Ward was born Sept 11, 1937, in Griffin, Georgia a daughter to C.E. Smith and Elsie Clifton Smith. Mrs. Ward passed away on Monday, March 8, 2021 in Conway at the age of 83.

Mrs. Ward worked for Crompton Mills in Morrilton until they shut down.

She and James spent her a lot of their time traveling around Arkansas going on road trips.  They loved just getting out and seeing all the different parts of the state and spending the time with each other.  Her real joy in life came from her family, her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Nothing brought a smile on her face like they did.  Hold on to those precious memories when the days ahead seem too hard to bear.

Norma is preceded in death by her parents: brother: James Smith and sister: Christine Johnson.

She is survived by her husband of 66  years: James L. Ward of Morrilton: Son: Charlie Ward of Dallas, TX: Two Daughters: Deborah Webber and husband Jimmy of St. Vincent; Sue White and husband Ron of Morrilton; Four grandchildren: Sonya Hoelzeman, Jennifer Mullins, Jarod Martin and Justin Martin; twelve great grandchildren: Ryan Martin, Austin Martin, Sophie Martin, Scott Martin, Jacob White, Sarah White, Morgan Mullins, Alyssa Mullins, Wyatt Burgener,  Alana Hoelzeman, Webber Hoelzeman, Ashton Hoelzeman along with many other friends and family.

The family will have a private service at a later date.
