Narvil Glen Wheeler was born November 9, 1953 in West Helena, Arkansas to Ruth O'Neal and Narvil Wheeler. A lifelong resident of Phillips County, Glen passed away peacefully on December 14, 2023 in Little Rock, Arkansas at Baptist Health surrounded by his family.
Glen is survived by his daughter, Heather Wheeler (D.J.) of Marvell; three grandchildren, Kaleb Charlton, Camillia Aguilar and Kyle Aguilar of Marvell; sister, Linda Whitted (Jack) of Searcy; nieces, Aimee Evans, Emily Hausman of Searcy, Carol Wheeler of Lexa, Althea Wheeler of Oneida; a nephew, Gary Wheeler (Laura) of Barton; and a host of other family and friends. He is also survived by some very dear friends who helped him on a daily basis; Jimbo Diamond, Tommy Albert, Daniel Aguilar of Marvell and Ivan Crabtree of West Helena.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth and Narvil; brother, Kenneth Wheeler; sister, Joyce Jenkins; and a nephew, Ricky Wheeler.
Glen worked at Homer King's garage for six years as an auto mechanic. After that he worked for Mid-Delta for 30 years until retirement. He still enjoyed doing carpentry work and mechanic work even after retiring. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with family and friends, gardening and growing his own food, especially hot peppers. Glen especially liked going to deer camp with his family and friends. He got lots of pleasure waking everyone up before daylight. Some of his greatest memories were from deer camp.
A graveside service for Glen will be held at Central Cemetery in Lexa on Monday, December 18, 2023 at 2:00 p.m.
Pallbearers are Daniel Aguilar, James McNeely, Ivan Crabtree, Jimbo Diamond and Gary Wheeler.
