Morris Wayne Thornton Jr. was born in Malvern, AR on August 11, 1946 to Morris Wayne and Marguerite Thornton.

Morris proudly served in the Army, dedicating years of service that were marked by both discipline and honor, before embarking on a successful career as an electrician.

Morris was a proud alumnus of Henderson State, where he completed his undergraduate studies, enriching his life and career with the education he received.

Morris Wayne Thornton Jr., aged 78, passed away on May 22, 2025, in Brinkley, AR. He was preceded in death by his parents. Morris is survived by his son, Morris Wayne Wilson and his wife Ursula of Bad Friedrichshall, Germany; his sisters, Laura Beth Henderson and Timi T.A. Thornton.

Morris will be laid to rest at the Arkansas State Veterans' Cemetery in North Little Rock.
