Obituary

On December 25, 1963, Christmas day would bring a special gift to Patricia Fisher as she welcomed the birth of her second born, Michael Lynn.  Their home was located in Des-Arc, Arkansas, a small community located along the banks of the White River. Michael was blessed to share his childhood with one older sibling, Betty Jane and received formal education through the public schools.

Michael and Tangelia Weatherly, began their friendship, from a very young age.  During their mid-teens they both knew there was more in store for their future. Their friendship grew into a lifetime commitment on July 2, 1987. The newly married, Mr. and Mrs.  Michael Fisher, chose to remain in Des Arc, to begin their lives, home and family.  They would share in the memories of raising two children; a son Aaron and daughter Ariel. Through the years, added blessings came with the addition of spouses and the joys of grandchildren.

Like most young men growing up in delta, Michael began his working career working on a farm. He later secured a position at Lennox in Stuttgart where Michael has been a faithful and valued employee for the last thirty years.

Michael is known for his personality and heart of gold. Along with a sense of humor he had a smile that could light up any room.  He loved cooking, smoking, and grilling meats, always with his own special sauces. Michael loved the outdoors and enjoyed woodworking. When time allowed, he liked to spend time woodworking, or hunting, and fishing. He also found great joy and took pride in sharing and teaching these skills to his grandchildren.

Knowing the importance of a relationship with his Saviour Jesus Christ, in times of worship Michael attended the First Assembly of God Church. On January 28, 2022, Michaels earthly journey came to a close as he entered the gates of his eternal home.
