Beebe
Maxine Louisa Witt began life's journey on April 16, 1932. She was one of fourteen children born to Luther and Ellah Carr. The family made their home in Jenks, Oklahoma at the time of her birth. Maxine received education at Central High School located in the nearby community of Tulsa.
Maxine was blessed in life to become a wife, homemaker, mother and grandmother. In 1952 at the age of 20, she married the love of her life Samuel Everitt Witt Jr. The ceremony took place in Tulsa where the newlyweds chose to stay for a time. They made their home in different areas that included Dallas, Kansas City, Arkansas, Colorado and Germany. Through the years they shared the joys of raising two daughters and seeing their family grow with the addition of spouses and grandchildren. As a homemaker and mother, Maxine took great pride in caring for her home and family. She always enjoyed cooking and loved to bake. In other times she could spend hours working on jigsaw puzzles and was skilled at playing the piano.
Maxine was also a lady of faith and knew the importance of a relationship with her Saviour, Jesus Christ. She was an ordained minister with the Arkansas Assemblies of God for fifty years. Maxine pastored alongside her husband in many churches reaching several souls for the kingdom of God. She also served as Arkansas Women's Ministries President during the seventies. She most recently attended times of worship at the Assembly of God Church in Floyd and enjoyed the times spent with her church family. In her later years Maxine focused on her children and grandchildren, mentoring them to live their lives for Christ.
On April 18, 2023, just two days after her 91 st birthday, Maxine's earthly life ended as she entered the gates of her eternal home. She was preceded in her journey by her parents, Luther and Ellah Carr, her husband of 52 years, Samuel Everitt Witt Jr., five brothers and eight sisters.
