Mary Word, daughter of Jack and Evelyn Lineback, passed September 8, 2022 in Little Rock, Arkansas. Mary was born May 31, 1928 and raised in Brinkley, Arkansas.

She had five children. She served as choir director for the Methodist Church in Brinkley for a number of years.

Preceding her in death was her beloved husband, Sam, and their son, Steve.

She is survived by her children and grandchildren: David Word of Gulfport, Mississippi; Susan Nafziger (husband Jeff) of Payson, Arizona; Gretchen Ewing (husband Dan) of Charlotte, North Carolina; and Jane Anderson of Harrisburg, Illinois. Her grandchildren: Sam Anderson of Phoenix, Arizona and Ben Nafziger of Chandler, Arizona. A private ceremony was held to honor her life. Besides her love and appreciation of music, she loved cats, bridge, and reading. She was blessed with a long and full life and will be missed by her family and friends.
