Mary Anne
Suddath Hirsch
August 20, 1930 — December 28, 2021
Mary Anne was born on August 20, 1930 in Turner, Arkansas to Louis and Ila Suddath. She received education in the nearby community of Marvell, becoming a 1948 graduate of MHS. Mary Anne chose to continue her studies attending one year of college.
On May 20, 1956 she became the bride of Alan Henry Hirsch. They made their home in Marvell and were blessed to share in the births of two children. Mary Anne worked outside the home as an employee of the Bank of Marvell. She was of the Christian faith and attended times of worship at the Marvell United Methodist Church.
On December 28, 2021 Mary Anne passed away at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland, Mississippi at the age of 91. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Alan Henry Hirsch Sr., and a son, Alan Henry Hirsch Jr.
The family would like to thank Carol Logan for her care during the time Mary Anne lived in Marvell and to Dorothy White as her care giver for the past four years. They would also like to thank the staff and employees of the Blake at Township in Ridgeland, MS., for their love and care.
Mary Anne is survived by her daughter: Marilyn Hirsch Varnado (Ray) of Ridgeland, MS, four grandchildren; Sam Varnado, Mark Varnado (Ashley), Rene Nicholson (Jeremiah), Alan Hirsch III (Whitney), five great grandchildren: Peyton Alan Nicholson, Hannah Ruth Batts, Averee Klaire Nicholson, Rush Hirsch and Gregory Kate Hirsch.
Pallbearers: Al Hirsch, Sam Varnado, Mark Varnado, Frank Polk, Donald Ray Washburn, & Shelton Guest
Honorary Pallbearers: Joe Davidson, Bonner Foree, & Johnny Turner
Visitation with family and friends will be 11:00-12:00 Friday December 31,2021 with funeral services at 12:00 all at Marvell United Methodist Church with Pastor Kenny Lee officiating.
Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park.
