Mary Francis Sanner of Des Arc passed away this morning, November 8, after an extended time of several different health issues. Mary Francis was born to Wesley, Jr and Helen Whittaker of Des Arc on a very cold January day, being the first of their children.  She had two sisters, Ellen Vincent and husband, Logan of Cotton Plant and Peggy Jones and husband, Freddie of Bradford and one brother, Nickie Whittaker.

Mary Francis was known by her friends as a very compassionate, hard worker. She was employed by Van Heusen Shirt Factory of Des Arc for many years then relocating to Remington Arms Ammunition Company until after retirement age. When the opportunity arose she loved traveling and spending time at the beach.

Mary had one son, Anthony Shane Sanner of Des Arc.  She is preceded in death by her father, brother and the love of her life, Dick Neely. Mary Frances leaves behind many family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Her services will be held Thursday afternoon at the Sandhill Cemetery.
