Mary Ann Griffith, 81, of Marvell, Arkansas, passed away on January 9, 2026, in Marvell.

Born on February 20, 1944, in Helena, Arkansas, Mary was the daughter of Charles and Mildred Covington. She grew up in the Delta region and graduated from Marvell High School as part of the Class of 1962.

On October 20, 1964, Mary married Frank Griffith, beginning a devoted partnership that spanned over six decades. Together they built a life rooted in faith, family, and community.

Mary worked as a secretary for Bobbie Brooks, where her dedication and attention to detail were valued by colleagues and clients alike. Her professional life reflected her quiet strength and steadfast commitment to those around her.

A longtime member of Calvary Baptist Church in Marvell, Mary found joy and purpose in her faith community.

Mary had a passion for collecting bells—a hobby that brought her delight and filled her home with cherished pieces gathered over the years. Above all else, she treasured time spent with her grandchildren, who held a special place in her heart, and she took great pride in their lives.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Mildred Covington; and her daughter, Shara Griffith.  She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Griffith; her son, Brian Griffith and wife, Kelly; her grandchildren, Bryson and Keaton Griffith; and Charles "Bubba" Covington.

Mary's life was marked by devotion—to her family, to her work, to her church—and she will be remembered with love by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those who mourn her passing.
