Magdalena Salinas was born in Falfurrias, Texas on February 17, 1942, a daughter to Casimiro and Ambrosia Quintanilla Martinez. Magdalena passed away in Conway, Arkansas on July 11, 2021 at the age of 79.

Magdalena was a member of the First Baptist Church of Center Ridge. She married the love of her life Reyes Salinas in 1959 and moved to Arkansas in 1961. Magdalena and Reyes were brave explorers. The couple continued the tradition from a long lineage of Spanish explorers who left their country during the Spanish Inquisition to come to America to have a better life.

She was a farmer and a homemaker all of her adult life. Magdalena enjoyed gardening, cooking along with searching for new recipes, fishing, and was an avid reader. Most of all she enjoyed spending quality time with her family.

Magdalena is preceded in death by her parents: husband; and brother: Porfirio Martinez; sister: Rebecca Lara; and grandchild: Kevin Salinas.

Magdalena is survived by her sons: Reyes Salinas, Jr. (Peggy), Eugene Salinas, Juan Salinas all of Center Ridge, Arkansas; daughters: Matilda Trigo (Arturo), Jenny Andrews (Mike), Isabella Salinas all of Center Ridge; 17 grandchildren: Michael Longoria, Jamie Longoria, Shanna Longoria, Viola Longoria, Crystal Mahan, Trasey Mahan, Julie Mahan, Christy Hogan, Steven Akin, Phillip Andrews, Jessica Andrews, Matthews Andrews, Justin Salinas, Megan Garcia, Josh Garcia, Jennifer Hendrix, Brandie Hendrix; and 18 great-grandchildren.

Private services for Magdalena will be held at a later date.
