Linda Lou Holcombe was born on January 12, 1940, in Pleasant Plains, Arkansas to Melvin and Bonnie Harris.

Linda was a 1958 graduate of Holly Grove High School. Over the years, she held various jobs that reflected her strong work ethic and dedication to serving others. She began her career at Kroger before taking on a newspaper route. She later managed J&M Restaurant and worked for the Department of Human Services in Clarendon. Linda also served as a school bus driver, an office manager at Thermogas, and a substitute teacher.

Faith played a significant role in Linda's life. In the 1960s, she led music at Missionary Baptist Church in Brinkley. She remained devoted to her faith and was a current member of First Baptist Church in Clarendon.

Linda found joy in simple pleasures and cherished time spent with family and friends. She had a passion for flea markets, attending revivals, singing, and playing the piano. She loved baking bread and took great pride in cooking and feeding her family. Her meticulous nature extended to ironing clothes and even sheets for those she loved.

Linda Lou Holcombe passed away on March 18, 2025 at the age of 85.

She is survived by her sons: Rickey J. (Gina) Burns of Austin, Jimmy C. (the late Diane) Burns of Tontitown, and Beau Holcombe of Greenbrier; daughters: Tammy (Johnny) Ellis and Martha Jane (Eli) James of Clarendon; brother Glen Dale (Sandra) Harris of Daisy; sister Billie Gail (Earl Dean) Browning of DeValls Bluff; as well as 19 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, and countless nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the amazing staff at Crestview Senior Living for their compassionate care.

Linda's warmth and generosity will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May her memory bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
