Linda Irene Evans, lovingly known as Linda to her family and friends, passed away peacefully at the age of 76 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN on Sunday, February 23. She was born in the sunny town of Turlock, California, and her journey through life was marked by love, laughter, and a deep devotion to her family.
But Linda's true passion was her family. She found immense joy in spending quality time with her husband, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, creating treasured memories that will forever live on in their hearts.
Linda's personal traits of kindness, compassion, and unconditional love made her special to all who knew her. She was a pillar of strength and a source of unwavering support for her family, always ready with a listening ear and a comforting hug.
She attended Artesia High School and fondly remembered her church, New Bethel Assembly of God in Lake Village, Arkansas. Linda's faith was a cornerstone of her life, guiding her every action and decision.
Throughout her life, Linda poured her heart and soul into her career as a cosmetologist for 40 years, bringing joy to her clients with her skilled hands and kind spirit. She touched many lives through her work and was known for her dedication and creativity.
Linda was preceded in death by her mother Marjorie (Arment) Silva, father Manuel Silva, brother Victor Silva of California, sister Diane Silva of California, and grandchild Corey Evans. She is survived by her devoted husband Jerry Evans, her son Marlon (Carla) Evans, daughter Jerra (Tim) Evans Dodson, four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Linda Irene Evans will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her laughter, wisdom, and boundless love will forever be cherished by her family and friends. May she rest in peace, surrounded by the love she gave so freely during her time on earth.
