Lillie Dee Wilson, of Searcy Arkansas, formerly of Palestine, Arkansas, died peacefully in her sleep at home with hospice care on March 11 th , 2023. Lillie was born on September 30 th , 1928, in Gill, Arkansas. She was 94 years old at the time of her passing. Lillie was the eleventh of twelve children born to Joseph and Lily Hill. She was preceded in death by both parents, all her siblings, her daughter Betty Stone- Wilson, grandsons Jeffery Fountain and Zachary Veith.

Lille was married to Alva Wilson of Forrest City Arkansas for 28 years during that time, they had seven children, and they primarily raised their family in central Florida.

She worked several years at General Industries & Sanyo Manufacturing Corporation of Forrest City Arkansas. Most of her life Lillie enjoyed making hand stitched quilts and found willing customers around the country to purchase them.

Lillie moved to Searcy Arkansas 36 years ago and was soon followed by several of her children and grandchildren. Lillie was such a selfless mother.  She loved her family dearly, friends and everyone she came across knew her warm kind words, loving smile, genuine hugs and felt her loving spirit. She always has a kind word and warm smile for everyone she met. We would often hear our mother reply when her family and friends would call, her response would be " and I'll be listening."

Survivors include her daughters Carolyn Fountain of Searcy Arkansas, Nellie Saugen (Thomas Saugen) of West Bend Wisconsin, Lynn Rutledge (Ronald Rutledge) of Searcy Arkansas, and sons Homer Wilson ( Bobbie) of Memphis Tennessee, Raymond Wilson and Alvin Wilson of Searcy Arkansas. She is survived by many grandchildren and great grandchildren that provided a tremendous amount of joy to her life. Lillie often repeated that her greatest source of love & happiness was being a mother and grandmother. Lillie claims to have learned everything she knew from her own parents Joseph and Lily Hill.
