Leland Roy Wall of Wynne passed away on Sunday September 12 at the age of 82. He was born on December 30, 1938 in Jonesboro, Arkansas, to the family of Leland and Mabel Wall. Leland received his education in the community of Hickory Ridge becoming a 1956 graduate.
Soon after studies came to an end, Leland entered the United States Army. On January 30, 1959 he began training as a helicopter mechanic. Upon completion he served at many different stations. These included; Ft. Chaffee, Ft. Eustis, Ft. Monroe, Camp Long, Fort Meade and an overseas tour in South Korea before receiving his honorable discharge in March of 1962. He then went on to continue his studies at Arkansas State University for four years graduating in 1965.
In times of worship Leland attended the Hickory Ridge Missionary Baptist Church during his childhood, In July of 1971 he gave his life to Christ. When Leland passed he was a member of the Wynne Baptist Church.
Leland worked as a Terminal Manager for Roadway Express, but was most recently employed with the State of Arkansas as the Industrial Coordinator for Southwest Arkansas in Hope. He was also a member of the Lions Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leland and Mabel Wall; step son, Donnie Waller; and brother Bob Wall.
Survivors include; sons, Rex Wall of Smyrna, TN, and Lance Wall of Nashville, TN., grandchildren, Logan Wall, Nicholas Wall and Josie Wall.
