Kimberley Monroe
Littrell
February 15, 1966 — July 29, 2022
Brinkley
Kimberley (Kim) Louise Monroe Littrell, 56, of Brinkley, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2022, at her home. She is survived by her mother, Patricia Louise Groce Monroe, also of Brinkley, her brother, Dr. Todd Bryant Monroe, of Columbus, OH, and her beloved chocolate lab, Jorja.
Preceding her in death were her father, Howell Bryant (H.B.) Monroe, her grandparents Berniece and George Groce of Mountainburg, Arkansas, Louise and Norvell Monroe of Wheatley, Arkansas, and a beloved stepdaughter Allie Marcoccia of Nashville, Tennessee.
Kim was the firstborn child of H.B. and Patricia (Groce) Monroe. She spent her early years in the country near Moro, Arkansas, where her father farmed and her mother was an elementary school teacher and homemaker. Nearly four years later, her brother Todd joined the family.
Kim began Mrs. Rose's kindergarten at age five, where she met many lifelong friends. She attended C.B. Partee Elementary in Brinkley, and her childhood was filled with dance classes, piano lessons, beauty pageants, hunting, and baton twirling. Kim loved playing the trombone and was an active band member from 5th through 12th grades. She became a majorette in 7th grade and continued until she graduated high school in 1984. She was excited to become the first feature twirler for Brinkley High School. Kim's love for music continued throughout her life, and she recently became active in the Handbell and Chancel Choirs at the Brinkley First United Methodist Church.
Kim attended the University of Central Arkansas in Conway and began her career in human resources afterward in 1988. She first worked for Wendy Foster Personnel in Little Rock, followed by several years of service for Arkansas Governor Jim Guy Tucker. Next, Kim joined the airline industry working for Northwest and Pinnacle Airlines in Memphis.
Kim was known for her leadership and people skills. She could be quite the 'flirt' and did not know a stranger. Always trying to make those in her presence happy, Kim truly emulated what it means to love all equally. Her laugh was contagious, and as a classmate lovingly shared, "Kim was, well, she was Kim, and whenever she was around, you knew that she was in the room!"
Visitation will be at 1:00P.M , Services at 2:00P.M both Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Brinkley, Arkansas, with a private burial in Johnson Cemetery in Wheatley, Arkansas.
