Karen Reidhar, of Brinkley, passed away peacefully on February 7, 2026, at the age of 78. She was born on May 24, 1947, in England, Arkansas, to Robert and Mary Reidhar. Karen was the sixth of nine children and attended high school in Des Arc.
She began her career in Brinkley, Arkansas, where she worked in the deli of the local Kroger store. With a desire to continue her education, Karen chose to return to school, earning her Nursing degree from EACC. She served patients at Crittendon Memorial in Memphis before choosing to dedicate her skills to Monroe County Home Health. Her loving and compassionate care touched the lives of many in her community and the surrounding area.
Beyond her professional life, Karen was a woman of many interests. She had a passion for cooking, and cherished the times spent with her loved ones, especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her ladies' Sunday school class, often sharing meals and laughter on their outings.
Karen's faith was a cornerstone of her life. She was raised in the Baptist faith, loved singing with the choir, and was a devoted member of the Brinkley First Baptist Church for forty years. Her strong faith, along with her love for community, were evident throughout her life and career.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Mary Nickleson Reidhar, and her brothers Bobby and Billy Reidhar.
She is survived by her daughters, Kasey Caudle (Jimmy) of Hunter, Kim Hamilton (Darrell) of Rogers; her brother, John Reidhar (Christine) of Des Arc; her sisters, Clara Metcalf of Benton, Mary DeVore (Donald) of Des Arc, Gayle Guess (Owen) of Des Arc, Susan Richardson (Jim) of Benton, and Delores Reidhar of Cabot. Karen was a beloved grandmother to Shanna Hill (Jason), Lauren Mertens (Jonathan), Bryson Caudle (Kristin), Kirstie Bailey (Dakota), Kaylee Anderson (Nic), and a great-grandmother to Brayden, John, Jackson, Luca, Emma, James, Avery, and Charlie.
Her life was marked by compassion, love, and an unwavering dedication to her family and her faith. She will be greatly missed, but her legacy will forever live on in the hearts of those she touched.
