Julie Tripp
Rodgers
September 30, 1958 — June 15, 2023
Brinkley
Julie Tripp Rodgers, 64, passed away on June 15, 2023. Born in Mercy Hospital in Brinkley, Arkansas on September 30, 1958, Julie was raised as one of three children, in Keevil. After graduating from Clarendon High School in 1976, she briefly attended the University of Arkansas at Conway (UCA). She was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Rich.
Julie, or Kitty, as most lovingly called her, worked at various businesses in Brinkley through the years, but it was at Farris Fashions that she fell in love with her husband, the love of her life, David Rodgers. David helped Julie raise her two sons, Shane, and Dustin, as his own. Dustin had Cystic Fibrosis (CF) from a young age, but Julie tirelessly did all a mother could do to ensure he lived as normal of a life as possible, being an equally great mom to Shane and a loving wife to David, all while staying employed. Later in 2008, she became the proudest "Memaw" of her granddaughter, Ashlyn.
Julie enjoyed watching the hummingbirds fly around, drinking from her feeders and working in her flower beds, especially with her only grandchild, Ashlyn. They loved to decorate for the holidays together and bake delicious treats. Julie was also a great cook and will be remembered fondly for her chicken and dressing, chocolate chip cookies and cheeseball! She was an avid fan of the Arkansas Razorbacks, Chicago Cubs and collector of anything M&M candy. She was loved by all that knew her and valued her family as her greatest treasure. She will be missed and never forgotten.
Julie is survived by her husband, David Rodgers, of Rich; brother, Mike Tripp, of Brinkley; granddaughter, Ashlyn Pearson of Clarendon; and a host of loving relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Hubert Tripp; mother, Wanda Tripp, sister, Debbie (Lawrence) Tripp Foster; and sons, Shane, and Dustin Pearson.
