James Russell Jacks, age 77 of Brinkley, passed away at his home Thursday, July 21, 2022. A son of the late Clyde Jacks and the late Vivian Wheatley Jacks,  "JR" was born in Little Rock, Thursday, October 12, 1944. He was the youngest of two sons born to this marriage.

JR was a 1964 graduate of Brinkley High School and served in the National Guard. On October 17, 1965, he was married to his sweetheart, Alice Hagger. They were blessed with one son Shane Jacks. Over the years, he and Alice have lived in Phoenix, AZ, Los Angeles, CA, Houston, TX, Tulsa, OK and Brinkley. He was owner and operator of James Jacks Co., Inc.

He enjoyed playing golf, poker and dominoes; BBQ in the backyard, watching western movies and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren. JR was a member of the American Legion and the Brinkley First Assembly of God Church.

Survivors are his wife of 56 years Alice Jacks

Son: Shane Jacks and wife Samantha of Brinkley

Grandchildren: Lukas Jacks (Kassanec) and Brianni Jacks

Four Great Grandchildren

Burial is private

Brother: L. F. Jacks and wife Margaret of Lonoke
