Joyce Marie Holloway, 85, of Biscoe, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on August 6, 2025. Born on July 20, 1940, in Clinton, Arkansas, Joyce was one of eight children to the family of George and Edna Massey Griggs.
She attended Brinkley High School and was a proud graduate of the Class of 1959. Following her studies, she married the love of her life, Bobby Dean Holloway. Their union was blessed with a son, Tim, and eventually a granddaughter, Leah, whom she adored.
Joyce worked outside the home as a seamstress beginning with Van Heusen and later at Farris Fashions. However, her heart always belonged at home where she found her greatest joys in her roles as a wife, mother, and grandmother. She had many different hobbies and interests that included tending to her garden, cooking and working in her flowers.
Joyce was also a woman of faith. Attending services at the Brasfield Community Church , her faith was her guiding light and source of strength throughout her life.
Joyce will be remembered for her gentle spirit, warm smile, and nurturing nature. Her life was a testament to the power of love, the strength of faith, and the beauty of family.
Joyce was preceded in death by her parents George and Edna Griggs, husband Bobby Dean Holloway, and siblings Hulen Griggs, Jerry Griggs, and Polly Standley.
She is survived by her son Tim Holloway and dear friend Claudia of Biscoe, granddaughter Leah Beth Holloway, brother Joe Griggs (Bonnie) of Brinkley, sisters Shelby Long of Wheatley, Danese Sayger of Biscoe, and Donna Pruitt of Brinkley.
