Joy Lynn Hamilton Bentley age 51 of Hackett, passed away on Wednesday May 19, 2021. Joy was born on April 8, 1970 in Landon California. In  March of 1974 she became the daughter and youngest of four children, God blessed to Van and Mary Hamilton, along with a large extended family of aunts, uncles, and cousins. Joy  received early education in Marianna and later attended high school through the eleventh grade in Brinkley. With a desire to finish her education, Joy would continue her studies and complete her GED.

Joy was blessed in life to become a wife, mother and grandmother. On December 6, 1986 she married Gerald Bentley and they chose to make their home in Hackett. Through the years they have shared in the many memories made in raising two children, son, Gerald  Jr. and daughter, Jessica. Added blessings came  with the addition of spouses and in time four grandchildren. Joys love of family exceeded all and time spent with grandkids, brought her true happiness. Teaching them her fishing skill, her love of arts and crafts, or working in her flower garden have left memories to be treasured for years to come.

Joy was of the Christian faith. In childhood she attended times of worship at the Gospel Light House Church in Moro. She was currently attended the Missionary Baptist Church in Bonanza, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, J.D. Hamilton.

Joy is survived by her husband, Gerald Bentley Sr. of Hackett, Arkansas; son, Gerald Bentley Jr (Elizabeth) of Greenwood Arkansas; daughter, Jessica Copeland (Jason) of Hackett, Arkansas; grandchildren, Wyatt James Wayne Copeland, Kay Lynn Nicole Copeland, Taylor Cade Bentley, Hadleigh Grace Bentley and brother Eddie Hamilton (Sydne) of Hazen, Arkansas.

Visitation will be from 6:00 - 8:00 P.M. Sunday at Bob Neal and Sons Funeral Home in Brinkley. Services will be 11:00A.M. Monday at the Gospel Lighthouse Church in Moro with burial at Roe Cemetery.
