Joseph James
Shadell Ii
April 30, 1962 — December 15, 2020
Joseph James Shadell II, age 58, of Perryville, Arkansas, passed away on December 15, 2020. He was born April 30, 1962 in North Little Rock, Arkansas, a son to Joseph James (Pam) and the late Marie Mobley Shadell.
Joseph was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He was employed by the Arkansas Department of Information Systems. He was married for 27 wonderful years to Vicki (Brown) Shadell; there was no purer love than what they had. Joseph centered his life upon loving and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren. He was best known as "Poppy-Man" by the grandkids and "Honey-Joe" to Vicki. Poppy – Man played many hours in the back yard taking the grandchildren to every planet and explaining it to them while they played, he made sure they went all kinds of adventures to far away lands, sometimes he was even a shark or a whale in the pool with the… if only in their minds. Honey-Joe was Vicki's protector, during her years of college when she felt like giving up, he gathered up the children and they rallied around mom and pulled it together so she could push on. Life will not be the same, the memories will forever be a little sweeter and they will forever cherish the life they shared with Joseph.
Joseph is preceded in death by his mother: Marie Mobley Shadell; brothers: Timothy Shadell, Jeff Southard; and sisters: Tammy Taylor, Shannon Cullins.
