On September 5, 1956, Joe Blair was born to Travis and Josephine Blair in Marianna, Arkansas, the second of four children.  He grew up in Lee County, attending church at Aubrey Baptist and  school in Aubrey until he graduated in 1974.

On July 29, 1976, Joe married the love of his life, Lyn Pruitt.  They were together for the next 38 years, until Lyn's death in 2014.

Joe loved anything with wheels.  He was a self employed truck driver for over 25  years and in his spare time, he loved to restore vehicles.  In addition to working on them, Joe loved to buy and sell vehicles and ride ATV's and motorcycles.

He loved camping, thrift shopping and going to the casinos.  Joe never met a stranger and he would often tell them jokes.  A favorite joke of his was when he would drive his convertible around, he would often comment that he was "going topless today"!

Above all else though, Joe loved his family.  His daughters and grandchildren were his world.

Joe leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Tabitha Strieder of Collierville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Tanner King, Brilee, Spencer and Finn Strieder; brother, Rickey Blair (Connie) of Aubrey; two sisters, Pat Covey (John) of Aubrey and Donna Monroe of Aubrey; and many other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Lyn; his parents; and his daughter, Samantha King.

A memorial service for Joe Blair will be held Saturday, April 22, 2023 from 2:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. at the old Aubrey Schoolhouse (Aubrey Community Center) .
