Obituary

Jimmy Dale James Sr. was born on January 22, 1957. He was the first born, to the family of Sol and Bobbie James. The family home was in Judsonia, where Jimmy received formal education through the public schools.  As soon as he became of age Jimmy enlisted with the United States Marines.

In his civilian life Jimmy lived for many years in Brinkley before choosing to make his home in Augusta.  He was blessed to become the father of two children and see his family grow with the addition of five grandchildren

He began his working career among the local farming community as a grain hauler for Skinner Trucking. He then accepted a position as an over the road truck driver. Jimmy saw many new places driving from coast to coast and picked up the CB handle "Haft Crack" which he was still known as, by many. Jimmy was last employed driving local before choosing to step away from public work.

Like most young men growing up in the south Jimmy loved the outdoors. In younger years he would spend days hunting mussels on the St. Francis River with his mom. He also enjoyed the sports of fishing and deer hunting and was known to have a soft spot for his fur babies. ( two chihuahua's, that he inherited.

Growing up, Jimmy attended times of worship at the Baptist Church in Judsonia along with his family. Knowing the importance of a relationship with his Saviour, Jimmy was baptized at a young age. On July 9, 2024 at the age of 67, Jimmy passed away in Searcy. May he rest in eternal peace and reunite with his loved ones who have gone before him.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Sol James and Bobbie Gilbert, one brother, George James Sr, one niece Kimberley Skinner and a nephew George James Jr.

He leaves behind a daughter Anna James (Andy) of Rothbury, Michigan and a son Jimmy Dale James Jr. of South Haven, Michigan, four brothers, Dennis (Penny) Sullens of Palestine, AR., Timmy Sullens, of Heber Springs, AR., Tony Sullens of Vilonia, AR., Ricky Simmon of Newport, AR., two sisters, Melinda (Doc) Skinner of Brinkley, AR., Evelyn Taylor (Wes), of Augusta and a host of nieces and nephews, along with many friends.

There will be a private family service for Jimmy at a later date.
