Jasper Delbert Holiday simply known as "JD" passed away on Wednesday at the age of 83. He was born on July 30, 1938 in Moro, Arkansas and the second child to the family of Floyd and Gladys Holiday. JD received education in the nearby community of Wheatley, and graduated in 1955. With a desire to continue his studies he attended SAU in Magnolia for two years.
JD was well known by many in the community and surrounding areas and last employed with the City as Trustee Supervisor for the Brinkley Police. He was of the Baptist faith and blessed in life to become the father of four, a grandfather to seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
He loved to fish, enjoy working in his yard, Sunday cookouts, card games, and watching football and wrestling.
JD was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Junior Holiday and sister, Pharine Nissen.
His is survived by sons, Frank Holiday, of Hot Springs, Steve Holiday, of Clarendon, Clark Holiday (Jamie), of Wheatley and daughter, Stacey Roche (Rudy), of Brinkley, brother, Larry Holiday of Texarkana, seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be on Saturday 10:00 with services following at 11:00 at the Wheatley Baptist Church . Burial will be at Oaklawn Cemetery in Brinkley.
