Jannie Ann Miles of Brinkley passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at the Forrest City Medical Center. She was 57 years of age.

Jannie was born on November 11, 1964, to the late Loyd and Bobbie Sue Leisure in Marianna, Arkansas. She  was blessed to share in her many childhood memoires along with four siblings.

On February 3, 1979 Jannie became the bride of Gary Miles. The sweet and tender ceremony took place in Lonoke, Arkansas, however, the newlyweds chose to make their home and raise a family in Brinkley. For almost forty-three years they have shared in the joys of raising four daughters and watching their family grow with the addition of seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Jannie was loved by many in the community and known as someone who genuinely cared for others more than herself.

As a dedicated and valued employee Jannie worked the last nine years with the Brinkley Police Department. She began her career with the department in September of 2013 as a Dispatcher. From 2020 -2022 Jannie held the position of the Jail Administrator.

Jannie was of the Christian faith and in times of worship attended the River of Life Church located in Brinkley. She was preceded in death by her parents, Loyd Leisure and Bobbie Sue Starkey Leisure.

She is survived by her husband of almost 43 years Gary Miles, daughters, Taylor Nash and Stormy Bodkins, all of Brinkley, Wendy Sepulvado (Terry) of Stamps Arkansas, and Jaimie McMahan of Little Rock, brother, Loyd Leisure (April), sisters, Lisa Leisure (Justin), Susan Elmore (Billy), Rebecca Leisure (Michael), all of Brinkley,  seven grandchildren, Brayden Hernandez, Rilyn Harlin, Oaklee Harlin, Curtis McNeal, Chris Miles, Tyler Harrison, Chelsea Harrison, great grandchild, Elisah Paul, Special Nieces and Nephew, Danielle Armstrong (Jeremy), Matthew Nash, Kylie Nelson, Dakota Nelson, Jessica Potter and a host of grand nieces and nephews.
