James Troy Liska of the Raft Creek community of Griffithville passed away at his home on Saturday morning, April 9, 2022.  James was the beloved husband of Betty (Smith) Liska for 57 years.

During their marriage they lived in Mt. Grove, Mo, Camden, Des Arc and Griffithville, AR. James was a heavy equipment operator for Riggs Tractor Co, until retirement.  Then relocating to the Des Arc community was hired by the Calhoun Brothers, Floyd and Raymond.  James was an avid hunter and fisherman.

James had one son, James Michael Liska and wife, Kim from Mt. Grove, MO and three daughters, Debbie Ray and husband, Roy of Junction City, Connie Hugh and husband Richard of Ozark, Mo and Tammy Moore and husband, Jerry of Mt. Grove MO. James had eight grandchildren and several great grandchildren.  He was preceded in death by his mother Kathyrn (Skelton) Liska, father, George Liska and brother, Pete Liska.

James family stated this was very unexpected and he will be truly missed by all.
